Personally I dont like the term ” #MentalIllness” because it has such a negative undertone. And the stigma that society puts on those who experience some form of difficulty is unearthing. Often leaves the person isolated and withdrawn worried of appearing crazy or outside of the “norm.” (Cause there is no such thing as normal. Just people running around trying to live up to the expectations of others, which is just a recipe for disaster)
Just know it’s more common than you may think. We all have either have a family member, know a friend or you, yourself may be dealing with Wellness issues. Please dont feel as though you’re a “burden” or keep everything bottled in. There are people around you who love you and care. Reach out, believe it or not your presence makes an impact.
In light of all the news of suicides in the media please dont suffer in silence. Even if you do feel alone and think you have no outlets you can always try the National Suicide Lifeline
